SyAF and SuAF Airstrike kills Alseeraj medical staff in Syria

An air strikes on a neighborhood in the Syrian city of Kafr Batna in Eastern Ghouta have killed in different locations two employees of Alseeraj organization, including one doctor.

The attack came during an aid convoy was entered to Eastern Ghouta.

Twenty-two people were killed in that attack by bombing neighborhoods in Kafr Batna in Eastern Ghouta.

This is the nine attack against humanitarian workers in less than one month.

@Alseeraj.Syria is active in 6 hospitals and health centers, and providing support to another 7 hospitals or health centres in two governorates, Rural Damascus and Alhasakah.

More than 401 staff are currently working in Syria, including 16 international staff.

This is not the first attack in this week, other humanitarian workers and medical staff were else targeted by airstrikes in the different towns in Eastern Ghouta, the airstrikes targeted an emergency centers, hospitals and PHC.

Those attacks in all of Eastern Ghouta have occurred in areas designated under the de-escalation zone, this recent escalation indicates a renewal of the blatant strategy of targeting health facilities in besieged areas.

Syrian government removes trauma kits, surgical items from Ghouta convoy

Syrian government officials in Military checkpoints removed trauma kits, surgical supplies and all medicines items from trucks before it enters Eastern Ghouta and this convoy that are part of an inter-agency convoy heading into the besieged Syrian enclave of eastern Ghouta.

All trauma (kits), surgical, dialysis sessions and insulin were rejected by Military checkpoints.

The United Nations said on Sunday that it had received approval for the convoy to the government-besieged area of 400,000 near Damascus, but before it will enter Eastern Ghouta today in 5-March-2018, all medical supplies in trucks were removed by Syrian government officials in Military checkpoints.

This accident in eastern Ghouta have occurred in areas designated under the de-escalation zone, this recent escalation indicates a renewal of the blatant strategy of absent entering humanitarian aids to besieged areas.
This incident comes as a continuation of the increased targeting of health facilities and medical assistance and the lack of equipment for the treatment of civilians, so between Nov. 2017 and Feb. 2018 in Eastern Ghouta, out of 26 reported attacks affecting health care, 9 were considered verified. More than half of the verified attacks were on health care facilities providing trauma care.

A large proportion of the attacks were through aerial bombardment. A total of 600 people were killed during this period, and 2500 civilians were wounded, based on verified incidents.

Data revealed zero attacks in hospitals in the areas which control by Syrian regime in Damascus, Homs, Lattakia and Tartous.

But since the beginning of the conflict in Syria, health care facilities have suffered bombardments and attacks, injuring and killing patients and health care workers.

Activating and supporting inactive poultry farms

Starting from the objectives of Alseeraj for Development and Healthcare in the maintenance of life and secure a decent life for the population and achieve self-sufficiency of the regions, especially in the areas of hard to reach, the organization implemented part of its program in the countryside of northern Homs by targeting the inactive poultry to increase the production of poultry meat and job opportunities for The way of operating and activating the huts and the centers used by the slaughterhouses, trucks….etc., where we will through this project to increase production and thus lower prices that are commensurate with the income of families in the region.

The project depends on the support of 18 poultries suspended from work at the rate of 4000 chicks for each one and 6 poultries at the rate of 2000 chicks with all the basic requirements (solar energy s, sawdust, fuel, food subsidies and vitamins) in addition to veterinary care and treatment.

The project aims to recover part of the production to be distributed to the vulnerable families through several criteria and estimated the number of families that will target about 2300 families at a rate of 15 kg chicken meat for each family in addition to increase the amount of meat on the market.

New attack on health facilities in Eastern Ghouta

Sunday 18-Feb-2018 in Eastern Ghouta, at 7 pm local time, an emergency Center “Save a soul emergency center” was targeted by five airstrike attack. As a result, it is now out of service, and some parts of this center was also destroyed.

Two Children and one woman inside center were injured in this accident and one of medical staff also was injured.

this centre is providing emergency services for more 150 residents and 150 IDPs in Beit Nayem C2363 and 1400 residents and 670 IDPs in Mahamadiyeh C6668 in Eastern Ghouta in rural Damascus.
